Hillary Clinton Crushes Trump's Fragile Ego With One Cutting Statement

Perhaps the most famous line from the traditional wedding vow is "for better, for worse"-an indication that, no matter the storms to come, two partners will weather them as one".

With Hillary Clinton's 2016 election memoir due to be released in the next couple of days, the two-time failed presidential candidate appeared on CBS News Sunday Morning for a sit-down interview with host Jane Pauley.

"Not even after the director of the FBI, James Comey cleared her any criminal charges ... while adding a post script that stuck, " Pauley bemoaned, before playing a clip of Comey telling the public that Clinton and her team played fast and loose with classified information.

The last presidential candidate in her shoes was Al Gore-a fellow victor of the popular vote and loser of the election. "There were a large number of people who didn't care".

During their auto ride back to their Chappaqua, New York, home, Hillary remembers his unwavering support.

That's when she gets to her "out of body" experience on the platform listening to Trump's first speech as Prez. which calls a "cry from the white nationalist gut". "To that he now added, 'That was a great speech".

"Trump was behaving in a deplorable manner", she said, citing the Access Hollywood tape. "I was just gobsmacked, wiped out".

Indeed, in excerpts of her book that have leaked, Clinton takes swipes at many Democrats, including rivals like Sen.

Merkel vows to block Turkey from joining EU
I will therefore advocate for us to adopt decisive actions but that we act jointly and talk with our European partners. We need agreements with various African countries.

Pauley then stopped Clinton to clarify, "What you're saying is millions of white people" and Clinton responded "millions of white people, yeah".

"But I am not done with politics because I literally believe that our country's future is at stake", she said. You can blame the data, blame the message, blame anything you want - but I was the candidate.

"He was quite successful in referencing a nostalgia that would give hope, comfort, settle grievances for millions of people who were upset about gains that were made by others", Clinton said. "It is still very painful".

Clinton answered no when asked if she had any inkling that the election's outcome might not be in her favor.

Clinton added that she failed to draft a concessions speech the night of the election and still felt bad about losing.

"I've said it before, I'll say it again, that was my responsibility".

A defiant Clinton cut in: "No, but they were already energized".
