LeBron James Tweets Brutal Response To Trump's Steph Curry Tweet

The Pittsburgh Penguins will still be visiting the White House

Trump first made waves in the sports community during a speech in Arizona Friday night, in which he ranted about Kaepernick-the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who has made waves for his political activism, highlighted by his refusal to kneel during the National Anthem. Trump tweeted at 7:45 a.m. Saturday.

Trump withdrew his invitation (and possibly the Warriors as a team) on Twitter on Saturday morning.

Watch the "Fox & Friends Weekend" report above.

LeBron James is jumping to the defense of fellow basketball star Stephen Curry after President Donald Trump uninvited Curry from the White House.

Trump's tweet comes after Curry already said that he didn't want to go.

It's worth noting - mainly because Trump tends to keep score of such things - that as of 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Trump's tweet had 96,000 likes and James' tweet had 295,000 likes. "Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!"

The backlash to Donald Trump's presidency is nothing new, but it's only been building in recent weeks.

Tesla, AMD May Be Teaming Up to Build Autopilot Chip for Cars
The CNBC report said that its sources tied AMD and Tesla together, but neither AMD or Tesla will comment on the situation. AI is a big topic at the moment and one Tesla found Elon Musk has certainly been vocal about in recent weeks.

Trump later called for fans to boycott the National Football League in the face of player anthem protests after bemoaning rules penalizing unsafe hits.

Nevertheless, the thin-skinned president, being challenged by actual champions, made a decision to preempt Curry and the Warriors by "withdrawing" an invitation that apparently was never formally issued in the first place.

Trump also said referees are "ruining the game" by calling 15-yard penalties for "beautiful" tackles.

"You know, some owner is going to do that". These are usually pretty boring events: The president says something nice about the team, something nice about the city they represent, something cheeky (if the president is a fan of a rival team), and they all take a picture.

Trump was slammed for his Curry remarks on Twitter, including by filmmaker Ava DuVernay. If you recall, the Cubs visited the White House at the end of the Obama presidency to celebrate their 2016 World Series title, then scheduled another visit to the Trump White House. The way things stand now, expect more and more athletes to chime in on issues going on in the country. "And obviously the president wasn't too concerned about that", CNN sports analyst Christine Brennan said after the rally.

"But do you know what's hurting the game more than that?"
