Leicester's Danny Drinkwater submits transfer request to join Chelsea

Leicester City star Danny Drinkwater wants to leave the club this summer

The England global has kept mum on Antonio Conte's rumoured interest in bringing him to Stamford Bridge, but any doubt as to his desires was removed when he handed in a transfer request last evening. The financial aspect is proving to be an issue with the Foxes holding out for £40 million, and the Blues are yet to meet that valuation.

The Independent understands that the club are interested in the Englishman but will only consider submitting a formal bid should they lose Mahrez.

It looks like Drinkwater is trying to take matters in to his own hands as the Evening Standard claims the 27-year-old handed in a transfer request earlier this week to try and force through a move to west London. The England global also was a part of Leicester's Premier League-winning squad in 2015/16.

Much of that could be attributed to the fact that he missed the presence of N'Golo Kante ever who joined Chelsea.

Trump to Scrap Obama-Era Dreamers Program 'as Early as Tomorrow'
The emotional editorial recalls Trump's assertion to deal with DACA recipients "with heart", urging him to keep it in place. It was that he was going to end DACA.

The youngster has publicly voiced his displeasure at the club, having made only nine Premier League starts last season, and is looking for guarantees of first-team football elsewhere.

Leicester will crack eventually if the money gets to the right level as they will ultimately not stand in Drinkwater's way to play for one of the big clubs if the deal is right.

The striker is now undergoing a medical at the club.
