Trump demonstrates his maturity with 'Rocket Man' tweet

Trump's week anchored by speech to UN General Assembly

North Korea said Monday that it will move toward completing its nuclear force amid more sanctions US and its allies impose, while it criticized United Nations sanctions resolution as a "hostile act" aimed to stifle average people's lives in the country, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Monday.

In a phone conversation yesterday, South Korean President Moon Jae In and Mr Trump "gravely condemned" last Friday's missile test, which came just days after the United Nations (UN) Security Council announced a raft of new sanctions against Pyongyang.

As well as the personal insult, the United States ramped up its threats at the UN, with ambassador Nikki Haley saying the UN Security Council has run out of options and added that Washington may soon have little choice but to turn the matter over to the Pentagon.

"We're trying every other possibility that we have but there's a whole lot of military options on the table", she said.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who oversaw the latest missile test, has said the launch increased the "combat power of the nuclear force", according to the country's official KCNA news agency.

The White House says Trump and Moon are committed to continuing to take steps to strengthen deterrence and defense capabilities, and maximize economic and diplomatic pressure on North Korea. The U.S. media reported that in his United Nations speech, Trump is expected to strongly demand that other countries, including China and Russian Federation, also intensify pressure against North Korea.

'Last Chance U' Star, Ex-Indiana Player Charged In Tennessee Homicide
Police said 22-year-old Camion Patrick was taken into custody by Indiana University campus police in Bloomington, Indiana. With the Hoosiers last season, he caught six passes for 154 yards and a touchdown, and rushed four times for 10 yards.

The fear remains that Kim Jong Un may soon develop the ability to target the U.S. with a powerful, nuclear-tipped missile.

The U.S. has frequently deployed the Lancers to the peninsula after North Korean tests, but it sent the F-35s from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni for the first time on August 31 after another missile was lobbed over the Japanese island of Hokkaido.

The President, from his personal account on Sunday, tweeted, "I spoke with President Moon of South Korea last night".

The allies conducted the drills after repeated provocative missile launches by North Korea, which have been met with calls for a peaceful solution from both countries.

Guterres has proposed a massive package of changes, and Haley said the U.N.is "totally moving toward reform". When he'll order the next missile launch or nuclear test, it seems, is anyone's guess. And President George W. Bush spent so many years trying to cultivate and maintain United Nations support for the war in Iraq, that he was hardly in a position to harangue the General Assembly.

"None of us want war", Haley added in an interview on CNN.
