Young immigrants shout down Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco

President Donald Trump

"We, the undocumented youth, will not be a marketing chip for Trump", they recited in unison. Before activists interrupted her, Pelosi said any deal entered into by the Democrats should include an avenue for immigrants brought to the US before turning 16 to stay permanently, ideally through a path to citizenship.

Protesters shouted down Pelosi, calling her a "liar" while also chanting "Democrats deport" and "all 11 million", signaling that they were seeking amnesty for all of the immigrants living in the U.S. illegally. "Democrats created an out-of-control deportation machine and handed it over to Trump".

The protesters who interrupted the conference were calling for a "clean" DREAM act - one that did not make concessions to Republicans on border security.

President Donald Trump, Senate Minority leader Charles Schumer and Pelosi had agreed to work on the plan during a rare dinner meeting last week.

The Democrats say a deal has been reached, but the White House denies it.

The school is named as Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah, as it is a tahfiz boarding school where students learn to remember the Quran. He said the living arrangements at the top floor were very cramped with double-decker beds placed too close to one another.

"You've had your say, and it's lovely music to our ears", Pelosi said.

U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tries to talk as protesters demonstrate during a press conference on the DREAM ACT on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 in San Francisco, Calif.

Following the Trump administration's decision to end the DACA initiative, communities across the country are fighting back to lobby for the protection of Dreamers.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in San Francisco alleges the move violated the constitutional rights of immigrants who lack legal status and provided information about themselves to the US government so they could participate in the program.

Among the Dreamers suing in this latest action is San Diego attorney Dulce Garcia and a fourth-year medical student and Master's candidate from Harvard whose DACA work authorization expires in January 2019.
