Harris was driving on I-66 in Virginia when the boy reportedlyleaped from an overpass in Fairfax County.

Virginia State Police originally said that a man had fallen off the overpass and appeared to have gone through the rear windshield but later clarified that a boy had jumped.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing but it is being investigated as a suicide.

The deceased victim is Marisa W. Harris, of Olney, Md., who died upon impact.

The passenger in the front seat was not injured and steered the auto off the interstate. He was not injured.

Pete Carroll wins challenge, Seahawks even with Texans again
According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Texans are planning some sort of group protest prior to the game. Despite rumors that the players would remove the Texans decals from their helmets, they ended up leaving them on.

The boy was taken to a Virginia hospital and was being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to the report.

Harris' mother said her daughter was studying clinical counseling and had recently taken a trip to Budspest as part of the class work, NBC 4 reported. The front-seat passenger wasn't hurt. She had a passion for working with children with severe behavioral problems, they said. She completed her undergraduate degree at Towson University in Towson, Maryland, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Harris' mom told local station WUSA that it was "ironic" the boy who killed her is someone Harris would have helped. "She was loved by her friends, she was dearly loved by her family, she was admired by her peers, she was just a shining star".

Harris' father described her as outgoing and well-traveled.

"She was - she was awesome", her mother said. The boy landed on Harris' vehicle, incapacitating her.
