Tesla is recalling 11000 Model X SUVs over seat safety worries

Tesla is recalling 11,000 Model X SUVs over an issue with the second row of seats.

Only 3% of the recalled vehicles have the issue, said Tesla.

The Model offered for sale globally is a problem that prevents rear seats of X from locking properly, and that problem will leave passengers vulnerable at a possible accident. The issue is a minor one that can be fixed in about 10 minutes and has to do with seat cables in the second row.

Tesla company has so far been on sale Model X, said re were no accidents related to this error.

The company also said that it can attend to all the needed repairs with its mobile fix service and owners can send their auto to the nearest Tesla Service Centre if they choose to do so.

Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg to meet with Russian Federation investigators on Capitol Hill
Last month, Facebook disclosed it had unearthed $100,000 in spending for about 3,000 ads by the Internet Research Agency. Twitter has said that it has shut down 201 accounts associated with the Internet Research Agency.

Approximately one month ago, Unplugged Performance (UP) showed off a render of its tricked out Tesla Model 3.

According to Tesla, that recall was initiated after the seats failed a strength test in the European Union. During recent internal testing, Tesla determined that a small number of cables in the second row fold-flat seats in some 2016 and 2017 Model X vehicles may need to be adjusted. Any of Tesla's SUVs with single-post seats aren't affected.

Until then, there is no issue with continuing to drive your Model X. We just ask that you temporarily avoid having two adults sit in the second row left and center seating positions at the same time. We can address 100% of these repairs via mobile service, and you will have the choice to do that or to bring in your vehicle to a Service Center.

The fold-flat row seats were made between 28 October 2016, and 16 August 2017.
