'CBS This Morning' to air for 1st time after Rose suspension

CBS suspends Charlie Rose; PBS halts his show after allegations

King applauded those who had the courage to speak up against Rose, reiterating that there is no excuse for behavior of that nature.

That's exactly what O'Donnell and King delivered.

PBS didn't technically fire Rose, since the 75-year-old newsman owns the company that produces his show. That said, Charlie does not get a pass here.

The CBS "This Morning" co-host has been accused of making unwanted sexual advances that ranged from walking around naked in front of women who worked for him, making lewd suggestions during phone calls, and groping their breasts, butt or genital areas, according to the report.

PBS' announcement that it was terminating its relationship with the host came an hour after CBS News announced it was terminating Rose, who hosted "CBS This Morning" and contributed to "60 Minutes".

"This one does hit close to home", the network's newest correspondent, Bianna Golodryga, said.

He also commented that "no one may be able to correct the past", but "what may once have been accepted should not ever have been acceptable". "She didn't want to go on camera, but confirms that the reporting is accurate".

Washington Post reporter Amy Brittain spent weeks reaching out to Rose's former employees and job seekers. She said Rose groped her on multiple occasions and once, during a business trip to IN, called her to his hotel room where he emerged from a shower naked. "It is systematic and pervasive and I've been doing a lot of listening and I'm going to continue to do that". "Women can not achieve equality in the workplace or in society until there is a reckoning and a taking of responsibility". We will have human resources support today and every day, and we are organizing more personal and direct training which you will hear about from senior management shortly. "All of you here. This behavior is wrong". "I am not okay", King admitted.

She said she barely slept overnight. "Both my son [William Bumpus, Jr.] and my daughter [Kirby Bumpus] called me".

I'm deeply disappointed and angry that people were victimized-and that even people not connected with these events could see their hard work undermined.

"What do you say when someone you deeply care about has done something that is so terrible, how do you wrap your brain around that?" said King. "How do you wrap your brain around that?"

Said King: "I really am reeling. He doesn't get a pass from anyone in this room". We are all deeply affected. "We are all rocked by this". O'Donnell also said that women can not achieve equality in the workplace until men take responsibility for their behaviour. "These are credible allegations of predatory sexual harassment that completely conflict with the core values of our institution and significantly degrade the achievements that were the basis for awarding him an honorary degree", Stanley said in a statement. "Period", O'Donnell said.
