Dimitrov thanks Scherzinger for giving him the X Factor at ATP Finals

ATP Finals 2017 prize money: How much money do you make for winning the season-ending tournament?

Grigor Dimitrov's talent took him to the brink of his biggest career win - but he needed more than that to get over the line.

Federer's remaining rivals at the tournament - David Goffin, Jack Sock and Grigor Dimitrov - are all in contention to win a prize of $1.2m by triumphing in Sunday's final.

Both Dimitrov and Goffin will now feature in the final match of the ATP Tour calendar in London for the first time in their careers.

"Match after match, I took more confidence until the final. And right now those are the moments that I rise up to".

Fans may have hoped for a re-run final here of Federer versus Nadal, the veteran grandees who dominated the sport in 2017, but Dimitrov and Goffin offered an enthralling finale and perhaps a glimpse of the future.

That wasn't the only record Dimitrov set.

It was one error too many from Goffin, who made 88 in the match, and almost half of them unforced. Despite a sprinkling of break points, a tight third set went with serve until the sixth game, when Dimitrov earned a break to lead 4-2 when Goffin went wide with a backhand. He'd had to change things up after their round-robin encounter, but his fearless all-or-nothing approach wasn't enough against the DImitrov defence, and a late mini-revival failed to save the match. I just want to keep the momentum going. "He had to be aggressive in order so he doesn't let me play my game". He opened the second set with fight; holding another impressive service game before breaking Federer and then holding his second service game to love.

'Lord of the Rings' Series Coming to Amazon
The location of the multi-season series has not been announced, with Weta workshop declining to comment on the matter. It was also been reported that Netflix and HBO were also approached, but that Amazon emerged as the frontrunners.

The second game of the second set was to prove a turning point as Goffin, beaten 6-2 6-1 by Federer in Basel last month, broke the Swiss's serve with a forehand victor and then consolidated his lead to take the match into a decider.

A bruising first set went in Sock's favour before Zverev took the second easily.

The opening game of the third set was a marathon 11 minutes, which included five break points, but Dimitrov held on. "I'm just going to focus on what I can do and play hopefully the same game".

It happened again at the beginning of the game when he served to stay in the match at 2-5 and the Belgian slipped to 0-40.

The season-ending extravaganza ATP Finals at London's O2 ends another memorable year which will be covered via our website www.skysports.com/tennis with live blogs and updates as the season reaches its climax.

"It was a tough game [at 2-3] and I was a little bit exhausted in the third".

After three consecutive breaks, the Belgian seventh seed was the first to hold his serve, forging ahead 3-1 and the match then settled back into a more predictable pattern. I didn't put a lot of first serves in that game. In the second, I had some opportunities to come back, to break back, but he was really solid.
