Dwayne Johnson Battles Gigantic Beasts in the First 'Rampage' Trailer

The Rock and giant monsters? They don’t stand a chance

Turns out there is a way to make Dwayne Johnson look small, and it's by making him star alongside a CG gorilla the size of a building. The studio is taking a short break from expanding their DC film universe in early 2018 to focus on their upcoming video game movie adaptations.

Rampage also stars Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, as well as P.J.

Don't miss it when it hits theaters on April 20, and watch the trailer below!

Kim Kardashian Reveals If Kanye West's Third Baby's A Boy Or Girl
Ellen also suggested she and Kim dress up in disguise and go shopping together, so here's hoping that segment happens soon. The stars are pictured attending the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Upfront on May 14, 2015 in New York City.

Rampage has been in various stages of development ever since Warner Bros. acquired the film rights to the property in 2011, but the studio couldn't find the appropriate creative team to shepherd the project until Peyton came on board in 2015. Dwayne Johnson, Marcus Viscidi, Dany Garcia, Jeff Fierson, Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener and Michael Disco served as executive producers.

The Rampage Plot: Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. That is, of course, until a rogue genetic experiment causes George to mutate into a big, King Kong-sized monster and start smashing things. But it's not just George, several other animals have also been altered genetically and it's creating a havoc in the city.
