Ezekiel Elliott's Case on Thursday's Docket at 2nd US Court of Appeals

Quinn told reporters on Monday that he will prepare for the Cowboys to have their No. 1 running back come Sunday.

The legal team for Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott are attempting to settle his ongoing case with the National Football League and have his suspension reduced from six games, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

If he Faila's ruling is upheld, then Elliott will be suspended immediately.

The decision means that Elliott's six-game suspension is on hold once again and he is eligible to play Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Elliott's playing status is up in the air for the second-straight week. The trio of backs took the work last week in practice before Elliott rejoined the team. The NFL appealed to a federal appeals court in New Orleans, which overturned the injunction and ruled that the district court in Texas didn't have jurisdiction in the case because the union filed its lawsuit before NFL-appointed arbitrator Harold Henderson decided Elliott's appeal.

Spain issues arrest warrant for ex-Catalan president
Spanish government spokesman Inigo Mendez de Vigo deflected questions by the media regarding the jailing of the Catalan officials. Mr Vila resigned in protest a day before Catalonia's parliament voted in favour of a declaration of independence.

The Second Circut granted him an emergency stay, pending the appeal on Friday.

It is unclear what the proposal by Elliott's legal team states or how many games they want knocked off of his suspension, but it may not matter, as the National Football League has previously said that it has no interest in settling this case.

He rushed for 150 yards in a 33-19 victory against the Washington Redskins Oct. 29 only to have Failla rejection his request for an injunction Oct. 30.

Whether he plays Sunday against the Falcons, however, remains to be seen.
