Mike Evans suspended one game for drilling Marshon Lattimore

Saints rookie Marshon Lattimore was shoved by Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans though Evans was no ejected from the game. More

Evans hit Lattimore from behind on a full head of steam while Lattimore was engaged in a minor altercation with Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston on the sideline Sunday. "Your conduct clearly did not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional", NFL vice president of football operations Jon Runyan wrote in the release.

After what happened in Week 9, though, that's not enough for coach Sean Payton.

Evans finished the game with one reception for 13 yards. Winston was pointing toward the Saints' sideline and repeatedly poked Lattimore's helmet. That sparked a skirmish, and Evans was flagged for unnecessary roughness when the teams were eventually separated. Lattimore appeared to be involved in a verbal confrontation with the Buccaneers' sideline, and even got in a shoving match with Winston before Evans came over and threw punches.

The NFL made the announcement about Evans's suspension Monday afternoon.

Keep in mind to 'fall back' this weekend!
Daylight saving time is not observed by Arizona, Hawaii and four U.S. territories: American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Daylight saving actually wasn't signed into law until 1966 when President Lyndon Johnson made it an official practice .

And that's not the only thing Payton had to say after the Saints beat up on the Bucs. I talked to Mike after the game.

Evans, the Bucs wide receiver, was not removed from the game, which New Orleans went on to win, 30-10.

Evans and Winston are both captains on offense, which is especially concerning for Koetter.

Evans said he only saw Lattimore's shove and was trying to protect his quarterback.
