Sindhu loses to Tai in Hong Kong Open final

With this win Tai has emerged strong over the Indian in eight of the last eleven encounters including the All England and Australian Open tournaments this year

Intanon took the first point to put pressure on Indian shuttler, however, Sindhu bounced back as the game was tied 6-6 at one point.

Sindhu marked her spot in the quarter-finals by coming strong over Aya Ohori of Japan and defeating the Asian junior champion 21-14, 21-17. But a string of errors and a flawless display by Tai lead to Sindhu losing 5 straight points and the match itself.

Second seed Sindhu registered a 21-17, 21-17 win in 43 minutes over the Thai sixth seed at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Sindhu tried to battle it out later in the game and managed to level the score at 18-18. Tai Tzu unleashed two smashes to move to game point and then grabbed the opening game after winning a video referral when her shuttle landed on the line. She used her reach to catch the shuttle early and placed it in hard positions to narrow the deficit to 6-7. She continued to commit errors, and Sindhu had a healthy advantage at the breather.

Sindhu will be eyeing her third Superseries title after wins in the India Open in New Delhi and in South Korea.

Direct centre to begin session, Ram Nath Kovind urged
The decision to extend the session beyond Christmas will give at least 14 working days to the government to push its agenda. The government has recommended calling a truncated Winter Session from December 15 to January 5.

Tai went to the mid-game break holding an 11-8 advantage.

At 13-12, Sindhu was not allowed a video referral by the line judge and after that the match slipped away from the Indian.

Sindhu fought back brilliantly in the second game in what seemed to be a momentum changer in not only the game but the match as well.
