Sledgehammer Addresses Call of Duty: WW2 Multiplayer Issues

The latest Call of Duty: WWII update delivered fixes for many issues, but it caused some more server problems and the team switched to P2P servers.

Sledgehammer wants to return to dedicated servers as soon as possible, and is hoping to fix the Headquarters social space.

Last week, Sledgehammer Games released a patch and implemented additional measures in an effort to improve connection issues with Call of Duty: WWII.

"While our previous game update, which released early Friday, [November 10], solved several critical needs, unfortunately it also had an adverse effect on server performance", said Sledgehammer in an update. As a result, the developers migrated online play to peer-to-peer (P2P) servers in an effort to provide a more stable experience. On Sunday, SHG says that they had begun testing dedicated servers in limited markets and are looking for a permanent solution and expanded rollout of this feature.

The problem here is that players are continually getting kicked off the game server thus adding to aggravation.

Hope Solo says ex-FIFA president Sepp Blatter grabbed her inappropriately
The veteran stopper ranks among the greatest players in USWNT history, winning two Olympic gold medals and the 2015 World Cup. Hope Solo recently did so as well as she has accused ex-FIFA president, Sepp Blatter , of sexually assaulting her in 2013.

But the priority is online connectivity issues, starting with another new patch on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Until the Call of Duty: WWII servers are back online fully, you will be alone in Headquarters unless you invite friends. "We'll watch this test closely, and once we analyze the results we'll look to expand".

For the time being, fixing Headquarters is low priority for Sledgehammer, and while it will get to fixing the social space, it is now focusing on "the most pressing concerns first". At 10 AM Pacific today the game will revert to 1XP, which means leveling will be much slower than it was since the game launched.

PC players waiting for their first patch need to take a knee, as Sledgehammer won't be rolling that out until the problems plaguing the other patched console versions have been fixed. You aren't going insane, Sledgehammer Games mistakenly launched the game with double XP bonuses turned on.
