Woman accuses Franken of groping during photo op

Sen. Al Franken D-Minn. above during a committee meeting in March has been accused of forcibly kissing and groping Leeann Tweeden during a USO trip the two took in 2006

Al Franken of inappropriate touching, saying Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 that he put his hand on her bottom as they posed for a picture at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010, after he had begun his career in the Senate.

The allegation comes days after Franken apologized to Leann Tweeden, a Los Angeles-based television anchor, after she accused him sexual misconduct during a 2006 tour of the Middle East to entertain U.S. troops.

A second woman has come forward with a sexual misconduct claim against Al Franken, this time when the comedian was an elected official.

Franken's office says that the senator has no recollection about his interaction with Menz, but it said that he felt sorry that she came away from their interaction feeling disrespected.

36 Saturday Night Live female staff signed the letter that stated they feel "compelled to stand up for Al Franken".

Menz told CNN she saw Franken at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010, at a time he was a senator.

The disclosure over Franken's behavior comes just over a year after the Access Hollywood tape, in which then-candidate Donald Trump appeared to acknowledge repeated acts of sexual assault against women, including kissing and grabbing genitals. Franken issued an apology, but he has still faced calls for him to resign and a potential ethics investigation. "But yeah - I was in shock, really".

Trump invites Clinton to 'give it another try in 2020'
She did take pot shots at Trump throughout the night, even comparing Bill Clinton to the president. "Propaganda works. During the campaign, Clinton attacked Trump over whether he would accept the results of the election.

"I respect women. I don't respect men who don't", he added.

A new woman has come forward with an allegation against Sen.

The "SNL" staffers acknowledged Franken's behavior writing, "What Al did was stupid and foolish, and we think it was appropriate for him to apologize to Ms. Tweeden, and to the public".

"It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek", she said".

Menz said that the interaction with Franken made her feel violated.

She also says that she found a photo after returning home from the tour that shows Franken with his hands over her breasts and smiling.

This is the second allegation of sexual misconduct by Franken in less than a week, and the first that allegedly occurred while he served in the Senate.
