Woman threatened for 'f*ck Trump' sticker says f*ck the sheriff too

WATCH ‘F-Trump’ driver state lawmaker speaks after new decal targets Fort Bend. Co. sheriff

She said her family is expressing their First Amendment rights and voicing their dissatisfaction with Trump.

After the story went viral and thousands of commenters defended the sticker as free speech, Nehls deleted the post.

Once Fonseca was identified, the sheriff's Facebook post was taken down. Fonseca's husband, Mike Fonseca, said she was arrested at their home in Stafford in front of her 6-year-old daughter and he questioned the timing.

Although Nehls removed his post, things quickly got worse for Fonseca. "If you know who owns this truck or it is yours, I would like to discuss it with you", the post read.

Although the district attorney has said Fonseca won't face criminal charges, she said she's received nationwide notoriety and that her children and other relatives have been verbally attacked online and at school - all because she did something that is protected by the Constitution.

Later, Fonseca was arrested on what deputies said was an outstanding warrant charging her with fraud.

Her attorney, Brian Middleton, said the public shaming was inappropriate.

Texas Motorist with Profane Anti-Trump Sticker on Truck Adds Local Sheriff to Display after Being Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

Fonseca said she realized some people would be upset or even offended by her display, but she still thought the sheriff was wrong to publicly "put me on blast".

The sheriff's office said Monday that Nehls will review the press conference and release a statement later in the day.

Nehls is expected to release a statement regarding the press conference and the post on Monday, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said.

"He actually put us out there and more recognized than it ever has been before".

Fonseca's attorney also said that they would like the FBI to investigate Nehls' use of his authority. The sheriff took to Facebook to attempt to locate the owner of the truck, Breitbart Texas reported. Fonseca was arrested, but not for the anti-Trump message.

The facts in this case as I see them are that Karen Fonseca wanted to place her feelings into the public realm by driving around with an obscenity on her vehicle. We don't have an investigation or an indictment until July 2017.

"People abuse the badge, in my opinion, and money talks", she told KTRK.

Having heard her talk in the public since the beginning of this, I am now quite aware that no such hope for a calm and reasonable discussion exists with her.
