After successful appeal, Bengals' George Iloka avoids suspension for Antonio Brown hit

Juju Hit Burfict

Monday night's game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers featured no shortage of hard hits, but one from Juju Smith-Schuster on Vontaze Burfict may have outdone them all.

Smith-Schuster was penalized on the play, for an illegal peel-back block and then standing over Burfict to taunt him.

According to the NFL's statement, VP of Football Operations Jon Runyan suspended Smith-Schuster for unnecessary contact against a player in a defenseless posture (Rule 12, Section 2, Article 7) and for unsportsmanlike conduct (Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1).

Appeals officer James Thrash, jointly appointed by the National Football League and the NFLPA, has upheld the one-game suspension of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

"The Competition Committee has clearly expressed its goal of "eliminating flagrant hits that have no place in our game" and has encouraged the league office to suspend offenders for egregious violations such as the one you committed last night", Runyan said in his ruling. Karma is karma. Karma is in life.

Brown finished the game with eight catches, 101 yards and a score despite nursing a toe injury that forced him to miss two practices.

The new flagship is just as capable as the Huawei Mate 10 but for less money, and it's the most ambitious Honor smartphone so far. The phone also managed to maintain its composure with casual gaming, although we will reserve our verdict for the final review.

Quarterback Andy Dalton agreed that things got out of hand.

Smith-Schuster also apologized on Twitter.

A suspension is the only response the league can rightfully give to what Smith-Schuster did. All I saw was the first Bengal was going to tackle ... and my instinct is I gotta block for my teammate.

"He shouldn't have stood over him", Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. I don't know. Is he just trying to fix his karma or what? The on-field officials are also inconsistent about deciding when to eject a player and when to allow a player to stay in the game after a personal foul. He is a better sportsman than he displayed after the block and you got to acknowledge that.

After the game, Brown yelled "karma" repeatedly.
