Apple Loses Legal Battle Against Italian Clothing Company

They are the owners of the company "Steve Jobs", a clothing and accessory line named after Apple's iconic founder.

A pair of brothers in Italy have beat Apple in court, in a legal battle lasting years, to finally be able to name their company "Steve Jobs", which of course is after the iPhone maker's late iconic co-founder. The company is run by two brothers, Vincenzo and Giacomo Barbato who started their company back in 2012.

As per la Repubblica Napoli, Apple specifically made a decision to sue the Barbato brothers over the logo they were using to promote the brand which consisted of a stylized "J" with a bite taken out of its side and an Apple-like leaf poking out over its head.

Of course, Apple chose to sue them over the trademark and lost their fight in court.

World Health Organization to classify video game addiction as mental illness
According to the marketing group NPD, video game console spending in the U.S.is up 27 percent from past year , up to $1.9 billion. The inclusion of gaming disorder in the ICD-11 means health care workers and doctors can now diagnose someone with the condition.

Apple's experienced a crushing blow in their recent onslaught of courtroom drama, as the tech giant lost a trademark lawsuit case filed against an Italian clothing company. However, the court of law dismissed Apple's claims as the letter J isn't edible, thus the case was ruled in Vincenzo and Giacomo Barbato's favor.

Steve Jobs must be destroying his black turtlenecks in the big Apple Store in the sky right now. "The letter J seems 'bitten, ' but it is not, since a letter, as judges have also decided, can not be bitten", they said (translated by Google). However, it's going to become even more frustrating for Apple as the Steve Jobs brand isn't going to remain limited to clothing and accessories. The logo features what one commentator described as a "very Apple-esque leaf".

The L's just keep coming for Apple as we close out 2017 and we are sure Apple CEO Tim Cook and the ghost of Steve Jobs just want to put the year 2017 in rice.
