Former Yemeni President Saleh Offers Talks To Saudi-Led Coalition

Huthis may have fired Iran-made missile at S. Arabia say UN experts

"I call on our brothers in neighbouring countries ... to stop their aggression and lift the blockade ... and we will turn the page", Mr Saleh said in a televised speech on Saturday, according to Agence France-Presse.

The coalition accuses Iran of trying to expand its influence into Arab countries, including Yemen by aligning themselves with the Houthis and Mr Saleh. The coalition had also imposed a blockade on the country, allowing occasional humanitarian access, with the aim of reinstating the internationally recognised government of Mr Saleh's successor, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.

Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh - whose supporters are now in a shaky alliance with the Houthi rebels in the fight against the Saudi-led coalition - tossed an olive branch on Saturday to Riyadh, saying he is open to talks with the coalition and ready to "turn the page".

Earlier, Houthi rebels said the missile hit a military target inside Saudi Arabia, without specifying the location.

Yemen's former President Ali Abdallah Saleh spoke on Saturday in a live TV address to slam the Houthi militia amid fierce battles between Saleh loyalists and the Iran-backed militia in the capital Sanaa. There has been no official word on casualties but the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said that dozens were killed and hundreds were wounded in the fighting.

Houthi fighters and battalions loyal to Saleh made common cause to fan out through Yemen in 2015 and have weathered thousands of air strikes launched by neighboring Saudi Arabia and its allies.

Amber Alert issued for missing toddler in Onslow County
Police have spoken to the couple and searched their vehicle , but have found no sign of the missing girl, the Daily News said. The sheriff's office has announced a reward of $2,500 (£1,800) for information leading to her safe return.

For his part, leader of Huthi, Abdul Malik al-Huthi, has described Saleh's attitude as "sedition" and has been prepared for tribal arbitration, after warning that main beneficiary of this confrontation is Saudi coalition.

Diab says the Saudi-coalition forces are not too far from the capital, and the Houthis have become widely despised due to shortages of food, water, medicine and money.

Meanwhile, Houthi leader, Abdel-Malek al-Houthi, called for dialogue with Saleh and his rebel forces to end the growing violence between the two factions.

The Houthis retaliated to the Saleh advance by deploying four tanks on the streets of Sana'a in order to intimidate and terrorize the people and dissuade them from backing the former president.

He told Yemenis all across the country that if they support him, "to defend the nation, the republic and the revolution".

Yemen's war has killed more than 10,000 people since 2015, displaced more than two million people, caused a cholera outbreak infecting almost one million people and led the country on the brink of starvation.
