#MeToo Movement In Running For Time's Person Of The Year

President Trump faces off with victims of sexual assault, Kim Jong ...

The list was unveiled in no particular order, kicking off with Bezos, who has vastly expanded the reach of his company Amazon over the past year on his way to becoming the richest man in the world, and the first to have a net worth of over $100 million.

Trump, who was Time's "Person of the Year" in 2016, has called the NFL "weak" in their response to the anthem and added that the league is run by the players.

President Trump was named Person of the Year last year, calling it "a tremendous honor". Time says that's false. In a tweet, Trump said Time informed him that he would likely be their 2017 title victor, provided he agreed to an interview and photo shoot. He's brought charges against four people so far, including former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. The movement began shortly after the bombshell New York Times expose about Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, and since then, dozens of prominent figures across several industries-from Matt Lauer to Kevin Spacey to Mark Halperin to Charlie Rose-have lost their jobs when their victims finally felt empowered enough to speak out about their experiences. Sen. Trump has clashed very publicly with all of them this past year.

Also making the cut: World leaders like last year's recipient President Donald Trump, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Two other picks are significant names in sports and pop culture.

Patriots win eighth straight with 23-3 victory over Bills
The Bills managed four first downs and 102 yards of offence over their next six possessions before Taylor left the game. The former Buffalo Bills back will not get a chance to take it to his former team on Sunday.

In 2016, Kaepernick's kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality sparked a social movement. He has been a the subject of much controversy during his first year as president, including when he tweeted that he had already turned down the offer to be 2017's Person of the Year. The box-office smash "Wonder Woman" was hailed as a meaningful step forward for the representation of women in media.

All things considered, Trump is probably a strong contender for the distinction, given that the award goes to, according to Time, "the person or group of people who most influenced the news during the past year, for better or for worse".

Past winners include 13 different USA presidents, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Adolf Hitler, The Computer and Mahatma Gandhi. The title was changed in 1982 to "Machine of the Year" for the computer.

The award will be announced Wednesday morning on "Today".
