MLS to make announcement about 'the future of soccer in Nashville'

Nashville expecting big announcement on possible Major League Soccer franchise

On Wednesday afternoon, FC Cincinnati President Jeff Berding said the process to win an expansion franchise award is an ongoing process with MLS, not just one meeting with league officials.

BREAKING: The MLS Commissioner will be in Nashville tomorrow for a big announcement!

After a December 6 meeting in NY for finalists Nashville, Detroit, Cincinnati and Sacramento with the MLS Expansion Committee, Nashville officials have been fairly quiet about the bid.

It is still unclear which one, if any, of those cities would be awarded a club.

Palestinians slam U.S. veto on Jerusalem resolution
Israel considers Jerusalem its eternal and indivisible capital and wants all embassies based there. He said Haley "lit a candle of truth" and dispelled "lies".

FC Cincinnati has shattered all attendance records for minor-league soccer - it averaged 21,199 fans in 2017 - and drew three crowds of greater than 30,000 for its home Open Cup games. Owners and officials representing the expansion markets will make presentations to MLS Commissioner Don Garber and the league's expansion committee on December 6 in NY. The new teams will not begin play until 2020.

Pistons owner Tom Gores, Bill Ford Jr. and Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert have all partnered to get a team. And those for the MLS didn't do a good enough job at convincing city voters WHY this was actually good for them. However, that plan changed when the Detroit Lions' owners, the Ford family, got involved and presented an alternative plan that would see a Detroit MLS team share Ford Field with the Lions.

But the region known for its loyal sports fan base has largely missed out on pro soccer.
