Refs gift Patriots game with this mind-boggling Steelers non-catch

Catch or not? NFL clarifies why Steelers' touchdown call was reversed

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is not expected to play in the second half of Sunday's game versus the New England Patriots after injuring his left calf, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Brown crossed across the middle of the end zone as he suffered hits from both sides attempting to catch the touchdown, and his leg snapped into a defenders shin. Brown was down for a bit and had to be helped off the field, unable to put any power on his leg. Brady took the Patriots right down the field, connecting with Cooks for a 43-yard gain that set up Rex Burkhead's 1-yard touchdown.

At halftime, the Steelers announced that Brown would be taken to a hospital and would not return tothe game.

Gronkowski had nine catches for 168 yards, with a two-point conversion, saving some of his best work for the team's remarkable game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter when he had receptions of 26, 26 and 17 yards.

Details about Shazier's recovery have been scarce, other than that he is improving gradually and, as his father, Vernon Shazier, told ESPN, "we're remaining hopeful and taking life one day at a time". On the next play, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed what appeared to be a go-ahead touchdown pass to tight end Jesse James, but the catch was ruled incomplete upon review. And whether it was intended for James White or Gronkowski, it was picked off by Vince Williams, who returned it 13 yards to the Patriots' 22.

Before you could blink, JuJu Smith-Schuster answered with a 69-yard catch down the left sideline, and it looked like the Steelers would steal a victory.

The Steelers settled for a field goal following the incompletion to Brown to give them a 10-7 lead. Potentially losing home-field advantage throughout the playoffs hurts.

If there's going to be a Round 2, it's going to be in Foxborough.
