Police search for missing journalist in Houston area

They discovered her cellphone and different assets inside, cops stated, while her satchel was found at a close-by business.

It was not immediately clear why Roland was under the overpass.

She is thought to be wearing a camo fleece with an orange Remington hat and driving a 2015 Silver Jeep Cherokee with license plate HZC7778.

Police said Roland, who is a reporter for Rivals' Texas A&M site AggieYell.com, is now safe with her family. They said that she appeared "unharmed" in an updated Tweet and said that she would be taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Houston police say a sports journalist who went missing after telling a friend she feared she was being followed has been found unharmed.

According to Houston Police, Roland was last seen around 5 p.m. on Sunday, walking alone in a store in a store at Galleria shopping mall. "Vara said the blue truck looped back around and parked behind her and Roland got out of her vehicle and the truck sped off. Vara said Roland and her was suppose to meet up, but Vara didn't hear from her again". As CrimeOnline previously reported, Roland texted her roommate on Saturday and said she had seen a man acting strangely at Wal-mart, and that the same man appeared to have followed her home. Roland and her roommate meant to meet up later that day, but she never appeared. "Roland got out of her auto and the truck sped off".

The roommate said Roland and her was supposed to meet up, but the roommate didn't hear from her again.

On Sunday, Courtney's mother reportedly received a unusual text from her daughter's phone. "I know Courtney would be praying for you, because that's the way she was". Police say most of the time she was missing, she was searching for her phone - which was found in her auto.

Anyone with information on the missing 29-year-old is asked to contact the Houston Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 832-394-1840.
