United Nations deputy envoy arrives in Yemen's rebel-held capital

Finally, Lowcock called for an end to fighting in Yemen, facilitated by a cease to hostilities and meaningful engagement with the United Nations to achieve "a lasting political settlement". A Yemeni military source told Iran's Press TV, on condition of anonymity, that the fighter jet was targeted on Sunday evening as it was flying in the skies over Kitaf wa al-Boqe'e district in the country's northwestern mountainous province of Sa'ada, Yemen's Arabic-language al-Masirah television network reported. The U.S. -backed coalition has repeatedly accused Saudi rival Iran of arming the rebels. Tehran denies arming Yemen's rebels in the war with Saudi Arabia.
