Snow will overspread the area from southwest to northeast early Wednesday morning and accumulating snow is expected to begin during the morning commute for most of us. Any minor fluctuation in the storm's track by a few miles to the north or south will shift the narrow icy zone and corridor of heaviest snow accordingly, said AccuWeather meteorologist Renee Duff.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

If you're driving through northern or central New Jersey on Wednesday, get ready for a messy - and potentially unsafe - commute to work or school.

While not much accumulation is expected today, there is a possibility of 1 to 2 inches tonight and that same amount Wednesday.
