-Gen. Babagana Monguno, had, while on a courtesy visit to Yobe State, revealed that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) had deployed at least 100 fighter jets as the search for the 110 schoolgirls abducted on February 19, while the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar relocated to Yobe state.

In the statement signed by Sumonu Abdumaliki, Commissioner of Police in Yobe State, the force advised Nigerians to shun the claim of the military.

Almost four years on, 112 are still being held.

The statement read in parts, "The attention of Headquarters Theatre Command Operations LAFIYA DOLE, has been drawn to a statement credited to His Excellency Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Gaidam, Executive Governor of Yobe State, now circulating in the media, in which he reportedly alleged that the withdrawal of the military was responsible for the recent suspected Boko Haram terrorists' attack and abduction of female students from Government Girls Science Technical College in Dapchi".

"The Yobe State Police Command will continue to cooperate with other security agencies in ensuring safety and protection of lives and property of people of Yobe State". It noted that once again, Boko Haram terrorists have proved that they have nothing in common with Nigerian Muslims. Blame passing led to the trouble of Chibok that we are still recuperating from.

It has used kidnapping as a weapon of war, seizing thousands of women and young girls as well as men and boys of fighting age. Boko Haram terrorist group abducts girls from school in Dapchi Village, Yobe State. Police said on February 21 that 111 girls from the college were unaccounted for following a jihadist raid late on February 19.

In December 2015, President Buhari told the BBC that Boko Haram was "technically defeated".

Dana White Posts Picture Smiling with Brock Lesnar on Twitter
The rumors that WWE superstar Brock Lesnar will be returning to the UFC this year have been circulating for some time now. UFC president Dana White took to Instagram , teasing a possible return for the former heavyweight champion.

"The abductions in Dapchi brought us back to the starting point and significantly reverses some of the gains in the war against the insurgents", he said.

Yobe state governor Ibrahim Gaidam on Sunday confirmed the lack of military presence but said he was unaware of the withdrawal and drew comparisons to another school attack in the state.

It said more than 2,295 teachers hade been killed and almost 1,400 schools destroyed since the jihadist insurgency began in 2009. "There is need for a redeployment of troops", added Gaidam.

It called for an urgent investigation into the withdrawal of troops from Dapchi barely a week before the attack and charged the Nigerian military to put other soft spots in the North East under close watch.

In a statement by Deputy Director, Public Relations, Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu, the Army explained that it only redeployed those troops from Dapchi to reinforce those at Kanama following attacks on troops' location at the Nigerian - Nigerien border.

The police have rejected the allegations, saying the military did not "formally hand over the security of the town to them".
