Ryanair plans return to full operations in all Irish airports on Saturday

Dublin Airport cancelled flights

Passengers had been earlier advised to check flight schedules amid a number of cancelations by carriers but management have now chose to close the Airport from 6pm on Thursday until 5am Saturday morning.

British Airways has suffered the most with over 300 flights being cancelled since Monday.

Aer lingus flights will begin to wind down from three o'clock this afternoon, with other airlines following at 4pm.

A spokesperson for the airport said: "It's been a busy couple of days battling the "Beast From The East" but today Edinburgh Airport opens for business as usual".

It comes after Glasgow Airport announced they will remain closed until 3pm today.

Real-time flight status updates are available on Bradley's website here.

De-icing of aircraft and snow clearing is now taking place and the airport says additional staff are on site to assist.

Flights are expected to resume on Saturday morning.

Yesterday (1 March) the airline was forced to cancel 40 flights due to Storm Emma's unsafe conditions.

Dublin Airport is suspending all flights until Saturday morning.

Ryanair has announced that it is now planning for a return to full operations, in all Irish airports, this Saturday, 3 March.

Passengers looking to fly to locations across the United Kingdom including London's City and Heathrow airports have also seen their flights cancelled.

Shannon also today handled a United Airlines flight diversion (UA2740) from Brussels which was due to land in Dublin but landed safely at Shannon Airport at 10.16am.

The unsafe flying conditions have also caused the popular budget airline easyJet to cancel further flights.

Passengers whose flights are cancelled or heavily delayed by bad weather are not entitled to cash compensation, but the airline must provide meals and, if necessary, overnight accommodation to stranded travellers.
