Carrie Underwood releasing 'Cry Pretty' album Sept 14th

Carrie Underwood's new album

"I was taking the dogs out to go do their thing and I just got clumsy and I tripped", she recalls to Sirius XM's the Highway.

Leading up to the ACMs, Underwood took to her website with a note letting everyone know that she's been "doing pretty darn good".

Underwood performed her newest single, "Cry Pretty", which streamed more than 1.2 million times in two days and rocketed to No. 1 on 12 country's iTunes Top Song charts, and Wednesday morning she announced her next album, Cry Pretty, will be released 14th September. There's one lone step.

Watch Underwood's interview with Bones below. Carrie said she fell and was injured "around my mouth".

"['Cry Pretty'] is kind of just all about emotions, and I feel like as humans we're just kind of expected to have our crap together all the time", Underwood said.

Students plan to join United States gun violence walkout
Only 39 percent of teens said that allowing teachers to carry guns at school would effectively prevent shootings. Students are walking out of schools to protest inaction from lawmakers against gun violence.

"I fell down... it set me back, the most frustrating part was trying to work out with a broken wrist and how much it can throw off your world, having an appendage that's there, but you can't use".

"I went to go survey the damage and I was like 'Oh nooo, '" she told Warren, adding that while she may seem calm now, she wasn't then. "And I said, 'If I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been absolutely fine.' But it's just because there was - I went to catch myself and I missed".

Underwood had warned fans after the fall that when they saw her next should would "not quite [look] the same".

"For awhile I was anxious he would be scared of me", she admits. "I felt like I had never been on a stage before". "I'm gonna be buying groceries and somebody's gonna post something on Instagram and people are gonna be like 'What's going on?'" I didn't know what was going to go on. "But now if I put makeup on, he's like, 'Mommy, your boo-boo's all gone'".

She also co-produced the record with David Garcia who has previously worked with the likes of Kip Moore and Florida Georgia Line, revealed the Rolling Stone.
