Garcia had boarded a flight from Miami to Chicago on Sunday when he allegedly touched the passenger without her permission. They said after he was moved to a different seat by flight attendants, he began using racial slurs.

As passengers deplaned, the report said, Garcia got into a fight. According to American Airlines, the man had been involved in an altercation with a fellow passenger, leading airline staff to call police.

Cellphone video posted online shows passengers clapping and cheering as Garcia is walked through the airport struggling against the police officers. A stun gun was deployed but did not appear to attach correctly due to Garcia's clothing.

In video obtained by another passenger, which has since been verified by the airline, Garcia is seen being held back by several officers while shouting at them, "Listen!"

But while taking him out of the terminal, police say Garcia went limp.

Police said Garcia reached for an officer's handgun at one point and kicked the driver's side rear window of a police vehicle, causing about $150 in damage, WPLG reports.

In all, one of the officers hit him ten times with a Taser for a full 50 seconds, the report says.

Garcia's return to Chicago will be even further behind schedule - he was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer without violence, criminal mischief and attempting to deprive an officer with means of protection.

The plane eventually took off just over an hour after its scheduled time.

A man was tasered and arrested on Sunday night aboard an American Airlines flight departing from Miami after allegedly touching another passenger inappropriately, according to Miami-Dade police. During this process, he got into a physical altercation with another passenger and police had to intervene, according to a statement released by American Airlines.

American started to deplane the passengers on the aircraft.
