'Donald, I'm already here': Kim impersonator turns heads in Singapore

President Trump shown Saturday expressed optimism about the possibility of a US-North Korea summit next month

James Clapper, the former Director of National Intelligence, appeared Sunday on CNN's State of the Union and said he supports President Donald Trump's cancellation of his summit with Kim Jong Un - adding that the North Korean leader may have "met his match" in the US president.

South Korea's president, Moon Jae-in, gave details about his surprise meeting Saturday with Kim in the Panmunjom truce village, saying Kim had committed to sitting down with Trump and to a "complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula".

"A USA delegation is in ongoing talks with North Korean officials at Panmunjom", State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said.

"I think people want to see if we can get the meeting and get something done", Mr. Trump said. He added that he expected the practical talks and summit to go "very smoothly".

The White House has said that preparations will continue while the final decision on whether to proceed with the summit, scheduled to be held in Singapore, is made.

He said on Saturday the United States was still considering the 12 June date for the summit in Singapore.

Mr. Moon said he told Mr. Kim in return that Mr. Trump has a "firm resolve" to end hostile relations with North Korea and initiate economic cooperation if Pyongyang implements "complete denuclearization". So we're looking at June 12th in Singapore.

Pakistan top brass blast ex-PM over Mumbai attack remarks
India blamed the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) for the 2008 attack on the city of Mumbai. Kasab was executed after a court found him guilty and handed down the death sentence.

The pair with Choe Son-hui, the North Korean vice foreign minister, the Post reported, adding Pentagon official Randall Schriver is also now in Seoul.

North Korea said last week it dismantled its only known nuclear test site in Punggye-ri, but Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono expressed doubt about whether the site has been closed.

Mr Trump reiterated his new-found support for the meeting on Monday morning, when he tweeted "it will happen".

The Washington Post, citing a person familiar with the arrangements, said Mr Sung Kim, a former U.S. ambassador to South Korea and former nuclear negotiator with the North, was leading the USA team, which met Mr Choe Son Hui, the North Korean vice-foreign minister.

The North has previously used the term "denuclearization" to demand the United States pull out its 28,500 troops in South Korea and withdraw its so-called "nuclear umbrella" security commitment to South Korea and Japan.

North Korea had sharply criticised suggestions by Trump's national security adviser, John Bolton, and vice-president Mike Pence that it could share the fate of Libya if it did not swiftly surrender its nuclear arsenal. "That hasn't changed. And it's moving along pretty well, so we'll see what happens", he said. "This is an opportunity to find out what, in fact, they might be willing to do and vice versa - and that is the most important step right now", Narang said.

"It looked like the real Kim Jong Un, but later I realised it's not the real one", said Sagar Admuthe who was visiting from Mumbai, India, after several selfies with the doppleganger against a backdrop of the city's bay. Kim expressed hopes to meet for candid dialogue, reported Yonhap, to which Moon agreed.
