EPL: Guardiola confirms Yaya Toure's exit

Pep Guardiola prepares 'beautiful farewell' for Yaya Toure, City's 'key, key, key, key, key, key' player

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed this season will be Yaya Toure's last at the club, hailing the three-time Premier League champion as a cornerstone for the Citizens' success in recent years.

On Sunday City host Huddersfield, when Guardiola's men will be presented with the Premier League trophy. The 34-year-old will make his final appearance against Brighton on May 9.

He was a crucial figure in all of City's successes, prior to this season, with his winning goals in the 2011 FA Cup - in both the semifinal against Manchester United and final against Stoke City - and a pivotal strike at Newcastle in the 2011-12 title run-in some of the most important moments in the club's history.

The three individuals - Kim Dong-chul, Kim Hak-song and Kim Sang-duk - are the last Americans being held by the reclusive nation. The other two, Kim Sang-duk and Kim Hak-song, were arrested in North Korea in April and May previous year .

Pep's not wrong. Toure joined from Barcelona before the 2010-11 season and proved to be a pivotal on-pitch proponent in City's ascension from perennial also-rans up into to the realm of the "super clubs".

It was City's first major trophy in 35 years and twelve months later he helped them win the biggest one of all - the Premier League title.

Seen as the flawless example of the modern box-to-box midfielder, Toure is City's equivalent to Patrick Viera, combining physicality, vision and potency to boast one of the most complete sets of footballing traits. "The Brighton game, we will focus on winning and Yaya".

Prior to this Premier League season, Toure averaged 8.4 goals a season, 1919 successful passes, 28.6 tackles and four assists, while he won almost 50% of his total duels and successfully completed 77.8% of his take ons.
