Man in India dies while watching 'Avengers: Infinity War'

INFINITY WAR is going to get a lot of credit for having the second highest second weekend box office total ever (behind STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS), but honestly, my attention is drawn toward the $13 million opening at the weekend box office of OVERBOARD.

The film cruised past the cumulative total of numerous wildly successful predecessors in the Marvel cinematic universe, including "Spider-Man: Homecoming", "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2". The juggernaut was the fastest ever to cross the $1 billion mark globally, doing so in just 11 days of release on Saturday.

The Marvel flick opened in Russian Federation this weekend, where it scored a record $17.6 million. It's a remake of an 80's comedy led by a B-level actress with no other big draws in the cast, opening against the second weekend of the biggest movie of all time.

Although critics were not especially won over by "Overboard", audiences gave the film a more favorable A- CinemaScore.

Mumbai Indians beat Kings XI Punjab by six wickets
As a result , as soon as Rahul and Gayle got out the momentum shifted towards Mumbai with Yuvraj Singh (14) trying to settle in. This time the luck was also not on Yuvraj's side as he got run out in the 13th over after a mix-up with Karun Nair (23 off 12).

In sixth place, "Tully", starring Charlize Theron, launched on 1,353 screens with $3.2 million.

Third place went to "A Quiet Place", which has grossed $159.9 million in five weeks in theaters, and fourth place to "I Feel Pretty", now up to $37.8 million in weekend three. "Rampage" rounded out the top 5 with $4.6 million, bumping its national total to $84.8 million.

Strong reviews -86% on Rotten Tomatoes and 76/100 from Metacritic- weren't enough to persuade ticket buyers into checking out the latest feature from Up in the Air director Jason Reitman. Infinity War will remain the number one film next weekend with a gross around the $60 million mark.

Next week is another lackluster week with only LIFE OF THE PARTY hitting theaters.
