Man United are close to completing their first summer signing

The Daily Mail report that the 19-year-old has a buy-out clause of £17.4m and the Red Devils are looking to trigger it.

Porto have been left surprised by Dalot's decision and the club could have reconsidered selling Pereira to Leicester had they known the youngster would want to leave.

While many would not have heard of Diogo Dalot, Manchester United fans would hope Jose Mourinho and his backroom staff have done their scouting well before moving for the 19-year-old.

Dalot has been with Porto his entire career having progressed through their youth system and he's represented Portugal at every youth level from Under15 through to Under21 so he has a bright future ahead of him.

Diogo Dalot is close to joining Manchester United.

India says it has contained Nipah virus
Two other confirmed cases of Nipah virus have been detected and the patients are being treated in a hospital. Precautions: Avoid contact with bats or its faecal droppings and pigs.

Dalot is primarily a right-back but can also play at left-back, another problem area for Mourinho.

Matteo Darmian is set to join Juventus, while Dutch worldwide Daley Blind is unlikely to still be a United player by the start of the new season.

Matteo Darmian was brought in a backup for Valencia, but the Italian failed to settle in the Premier League and is now expected to leave in the summer and join Juventus in his homeland.

Manager Mourinho is keen to make moves quickly in this summer's transfer market, with the earlier closure on August 9 giving the club three fewer weeks to do deals compared to previous years.

And according to Goal, United are hopeful of landing Porto right-back Dalot before the end of the week.
