Each of the items could hit the shelves by 2019.

The 2019 AirPods will probably be more expensive than the current $159 model. Although no name for the headphones has yet leaked, they're expected to launch at some point in 2019. Now, Apple, being Apple, the brand both wants to improve on them and to offer listeners a few more options, according to a new report. The current AirPods will be refreshed later this year with a new chip and support for hands-free Siri activation.

That product could be released as soon as the end of this year, Bloomberg said. A wireless charging case for Apple's in-ear audio solution is also in the pipeline and will be compatible with the upcoming AirPower wireless charging mat.

Rumors have circulated for months that Apple is looking to revamp its line of AirPods. Instead, the report says that Apple recently met with manufacturers Inventec, who built the first generation, but may not work on the HomePod 2.0. The music-focused device was praised by many reviewers for its sound quality, but its market performance is apparently disappointing.

As a result, we are relieved the new lightning EarPods are so much better than their predecessors. There were over-ear headphones coming from Apple, too.

They're surprisingly good at staying put within your ear, and the battery life is commendable. Unfortunately, it might not be possible to give them Ingress Protection, but it means that they will be able to keep out water from light rain and perspiration. The original HomePod was supposed to be released to consumers in December 2017 but was delayed until early this year. It also predicts a delay in the release of the aforementioned over-ear model which was initially believed to be due for release by the end of this year.

As far as the new HomePod is concerned, it's unclear what could be added to the product.

In addition, Apple will also be updating the HomePod sometime next year. Unfortunately, there are no details about what features it might boast. Apple plans to remedy this issue by shaking up its supply chain.
