EA Announces Origin Access Premier on PC; Coming Later This Summer

Origin Access is EA's subscription service for PC users akin to its Xbox service, EA Access.

For football fans, the announcement also carried huge news for those who are looking forward to the next Madden game.

To this day, Origin Access has existed to provide access to older games in the PC gaming vault from Electronic Arts.

The standard edition of Madden 19 is set be released on August 10, but those who pre-order the Hall-of-Fame edition with Owens on the cover will be able to get the game early on August 7. Well, aside from the one requiring you to use Origin Access Premier.

Subscribers can play over 100 PC titles whenever they like as long as a Premier member is maintained. This means you could play through game after game not only ahead of others, but without having to buy it on your own, unless you just wanted a more permanent copy.

EA has slated Origin Access Premier for a nebulous "Summer" release window. Aside from detailing the service, EA announced how much it would cost. Alternatively, there'll be the option to pay for a full year's access, priced at $99.99. Comparatively, a standard Origin Access membership is Rs. 315 a month and Rs. 1,990 per year. They will also get access to over 100 older games, like "Need For Speed Payback", Mad Max", and the "Batman: "Arkham" series, along with a 10% discount on Origin purchases. He suggested that if the Switch's install base grows big enough, EA would more seriously consider bringing the game there.
