Giuliani: Trump forced North Korea's Kim to beg for meeting

Donald Trump has not done anything wrong and therefore there would be no need for a pardon, the White House has said, sidestepping questions about the U.S. president's remarks that he has the "absolute right" to pardon himself.

In the letter, Democrats from the House Judiciary Committee expressed concerns to McGahn about Trump's pardon decisions thus far, and took issue with the president's claim this week that he has "the absolute right" to pardon himself.

In his tweet, Trump again called the investigation a "never ending Witch Hunt" and said it is being led by "13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats".

"And so I don't think there's any rationale to sit down, nor is there any rationale to subpoena the president to sit down".

Mueller is investigating whether Russian Federation meddled in the 2016 election and whether Trump's campaign colluded with Moscow.

And if you're at school and keen to get out of a lesson, you'll definitely want to get the lawyers on to it.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Wednesday that President Trump should not pardon himself. "He has no intention of pardoning himself, but he probably - not to say he can't".

Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) mentioned that there's "a prevailing opinion that a President of the United States can exercise the power of pardon on himself".

The American president claimed last week, without evidence, that the special counsel investigation would seek to interfere in this year's midterm elections. "They are trying to invent theories of obstruction of justice", Giuliani told a business conference in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

Facebook in another Data Sharing Scandal involving Device Makers
"And if we find that someone improperly used data, we're going to ban them from Facebook and tell everyone affected", he added. To that end, Facebook contends that companies like Samsung or BlackBerry in these cases are suppliers, not third parties.

And over on TBS, Conan host Conan O'Brien joked of the tweet, "The latest rumor in Washington is that President Trump could decide to pardon himself".

The letter also cited the president's pardoning authority should Trump face indictments as a result of Mueller's probe.

"If I say something wrong on this show. if you were the Federal Bureau of Investigation, my goodness, I'd - they could prosecute me for the mistake".

"He believes that, if he gets the chance to explain it, people will understand, no collusion with the Russians, no obstruction of justice", Giuliani said.

The reports came soon after President Donald Trump commuted the sentence of Alice Johnson.

Giuliani, who has been serving as Trump's lawyer, says that Mueller's team is "trying very, very hard" to frame Trump.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he's not sure whether President Donald Trump has the power to pardon himself, but says Trump "obviously knows that would not be something that he would or should do".

"Your office clearly lacks the requisite need to personally interview the president", it said.
