Kawhi Leonard wants to be traded this summer, says source

Kawhi Leonard reportedly no longer wants to play for the Spurs, and the league's strangest fallout has reached the next level

It's unclear if the Spurs will go ahead and try to trade him, or if the team will try to patch things up with the 2014 NBA Finals MVP and two-time NBA defensive player of the year.

According to Yahoo's National Basketball Association insider Shams Charania, Kawhi has "grown uncomfortable with the Spurs and is ready to move".

The Los Angeles Lakers were set to be major this offseason with a lot of cap space, however, they now have one of the best players in the league reportedly wanting to be traded there.

"No", Stein said, when asked if Leonard would be a Spur next season. They granted Chris Paul's wish to be traded to the Houston Rockets last spring and dealt Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons in the summer, clearing the way for a remodel. They still have Leonard and they won't settle for chump change in a potential trade. The 26-year-old's preference is to be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. If the Lakers are unable to convince the Spurs to take on Deng, they will have to convince another team to take on Luol's contract, team's such as the Mavs, Hawks or even the Nets. Wojnarowski previously reported in January that Leonard was unhappy with the way the Spurs were handling his injury. Those who predicted Leonard would leave San Antonio have mentioned the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics as frontrunners likely to acquire Leonard.

Trump and Kim held the unprecedented meeting in Singapore, after which they signed a joint document praised by both leaders. He declared there was "no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea" and that he could see "great potential" in the country.

The Spurs could also decide to stall, keeping their disgruntled star by waiting until the February trade deadline to find the best deal possible.

In fact, they've amended the offer for Lebron James.

The Lakers could give up many young assets, such as Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, and Josh Hart. However, during all of that mess, reports surfaced that the Spurs were planning on giving Leonard the super max deal to help ease the tension. The NBA draft will be held on June 21.
