California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill in 2016 that lifted the previous statute of limitations of 10 years for crimes committed after January 1, 2017-or for crimes in which the statute of limitations hadn't expired by that date. A legal representative for Stallone denied the allegations for a second time on Wednesday. Police didn't elaborate on the nature of the allegation.

In other cases against Hollywood figures, the DA in Los Angeles has thus far declined to file criminal charges.
