U.S. Open 2018: Final results, leaderboard (Brooks Koepka winner)

Dustin Johnson pumps his fist after making a 45-foot birdie putt on the 7th hole Friday

Then on the uphill par-3 11, he flew his tee shot over the green, chipped out of deep rough and watched his ball roll into a bunker, blasted out and sank a 15-foot putt for bogey.

There's something to be said about a man who can win on a setup like we saw at Erin Hills where he posted a 16-under and going to Shinnecock where the conditions and setup were totally different and win with even par.

Fleetwood must console himself with a cheque for $1.2m and a share of history. The former Florida State All-American took an adventurous route to becoming one of the game's best players, traveling the world on the European Tour and its developmental circuit.

But Koepka steadied himself and ground his way home in the traditional style of a U.S. Open victor, making par on six of the last seven holes and birdieing the par-5 15th to give himself some breathing room.

The world number 12 became the sixth golfer to shoot 63 in the US Open - joining Justin Thomas, Vijay Singh, Tom Weiskopf, Johnny Miller and Jack Nicklaus - and was one short of matching the all-time major record of 62 set by Branden Grace in last year's Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

"Through the first 11 holes, I didn't really feel like I missed a golf shot", Reed said.

That put him clear of four players - third-round co-leaders Dustin Johnson, Daniel Berger and Tony Finau - and surging Patrick Reed.

"It's easy to look at it and think I was one shy, but there's so many positives to look at and so much that you can take and learn from it". It's a unusual feeling when you've shot a 63 and feel disappointed.

"I'd say it's a little bit over the line", Henrik Stenson said after shooting a 74 despite being "pretty happy with the way I played today".

Yoga acts as a bridge between India and China: Bambawale
Many Union ministers will join similar events across the country on Thursday. People across the country celebrated the day with mass yoga performances.

However, playing with the lead at the start of the final round meant that Koepka was under pressure. Johnson was one shot behind at the turn until a trio of three-putt bogeys on the back nine.

He was tied for the lead when he ran off five birdies in his opening seven holes. The conditions the first day were tough, but I just shot myself in the foot.

That's how ugly it was here, as the U.S. Open steadily descended into carnage as the day progressed. "That was a huge difference that got him back in this championship", Paul Azinger said on FOX.

"This is the first time I got a taste of the final group, and coming down the stretch, having a chance to try and catch Brooks, it was a lot of fun for me".

Only one of them did, which is why Koepka is the US Open champion. We're extremely close. I love the guy to death.

It was his best ever major finish and third top-10 behind his T10 efforts at the 2018 Masters and 2015 PGA Championship.

"It's unfortunate that our nation's tournament is already shot at a venue that they lost 14 years ago", Johnson told Sky Sports.

That cost him more than the record.

Among those playing early was Phil Mickelson, who purposely struck a moving ball on the 13th green Saturday.
