Blueprints for 3D-printed guns could be available this week

Access Blocked to Files for 3D Printing of Guns in Pennsylvania

A company that publishes online instructions for using a 3D printer to make guns agreed Sunday to make the guides temporarily inaccessible in Pennsylvania, according to state Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office.

Despite those victories, the federal government announced a settlement with the firearms groups this month, allowing the 3D gun manuals to be distributed online. Ferguson said in a statement.

The 3D-blueprints were removed from the site in 2013 because the government said it violated global regulation laws, but eventually surrendered, concluding 3D-gun blueprints count as constitutionally protected speech. The available guns - plastic and without serial numbers and therefore untraceable - include AR-15s, AR-10s, a pistol called the "Liberator" and a Ruger 10/22. Besides Washington, attorney generals in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Pennsylvania have joined in. The company, Defense Distributed, settled with the federal government after fighting the Obama administration in court for five years.

In the 16-page filing, attorneys for DefDist hold that Grewal and Feuer "have waged an ideologically-fueled program of intimidation and harassment against" the company, intending to drag Wilson "before all manner of far-flung criminal and civil tribunals in an effort to silence the organization". As recently as April, the government in court filings argued downloadable guns would allow extremist groups and criminals overseas unfettered access to arms.

US District Judge Robert Pitman in Austin, Texas denied the request the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, Everytown for Gun Safety and the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence at a hearing.

It led the US State Department to order them to be removed from the internet.

Nine US states have just sued to stop the distribution of plans for 3D-printed weapons. Once these untraceable guns are on our streets and in our schools, we can never get them back.

Donald Trump denies knowing in advance of 2016 meeting with Russian lawyer
Cohen's legal team appears to have released the most significant tape in terms of hearing his conversations with Trump. Trump Jr. did, however, make phone calls to someone with a blocked number at the time he was setting up the meeting.

The U.S. State Department told him he was violating the law, so in 2015 Wilson sued the feds with the help of the Second Amendment Foundation.

Update, 6:03p.m. PT: Adds the lawsuit has now officially been filed.

They asked a federal judge in Seattle to block the State Department change in regulation that allowed Defense Distributed to go forward, arguing it permits criminals unfettered access to guns and "literally nullifies" state gun regulations.

Pennsylvania on Sunday said it had reached an agreement with Defense Distributed to make its firearms plans inaccessible to users in the state.

"Letter takes only vague and general positions regarding nuisance and negligence law", responded Defense Distributed to the New Jersey letter.

With this lawsuit, the state AG's office wants a nationwide halt to the plans going online.
