Indonesia quake kills at least 19, injures dozens

Measuring at magnitude 6.9, with aftershocks reported at 4.9 and 5.6, the tremblor caused residents to exit their homes and tourists to flee from their hotels on the resort islands.

A tsunami warning has been issued for the quake, which occurred at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), the agency said.

"The latest data we have is that 19 people are dead at Tanjung Hospital (North Lombok)", Agus Hendra Sanjaya, Mataram search and rescue spokesman, told AFP.

Indonesia lifted a tsunami warning that was imposed after a magnitude 7 quake rocked Bali and Lombok islands on Sunday.

There have been no immediate reports of casualties.
