Trump taunts LeBron James on Twitter: 'I Like Mike'

James Harden

President Trump took to Twitter late Friday night to take a shot at former Cavaliers star LeBron James.

James backed Democrat Hillary Clinton during the 2016 United States presidential election.

James is considered by many to be the greatest player in basketball history, rivaled by Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Charles Barkley has been somewhat critical of LeBron James over the years. In response, James said: "I would never sit across from him".

"School didn't mean anything to me", he said.

The focus now switches to how the four-time MVP will respond, if he responds at all, to the President's petty insult. Much of James charity work has often been overshadowed by his wildly successful athletic career, but he has also given large donations to several charitable organizations, such as The Boys and Girls Club or America, and the Children's Defense Fund.

Mars making closest approach to Earth in 15 years

LeBron James appeared on CNN Monday in an interview with Don Lemon to discuss his I Promise School, a public elementary school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. And I got an opportunity to see them and learn about them and we became very good friends. "Sport has given me everything I could ever ask for".

Having kids around my same age and we having the same goals in mind really stopped me from going the other way, and that's what we have at this school.

In June this year, before the National Basketball Association finals between Cavaliers and Warriors, James said that neither team wants an invitation to the White House. Trump subsequently said neither team would be invited. "The most important thing we can give them is structure", says James, "they just want someone to feel like we care". I know the trials and tribulations they go through.

"I think (racism's) always been there".

At this writing, no replies from Lemon or James about the president attacking their intelligence.
